Two stunning new contemporary works - Douglas Wright's
rapt, and Maguy Marin's May B - headlined the
strongest and most exciting dance programme in the history of
Auckland Arts Festival in 2011. The 2011 Festival celebrated
one of the world's most influential dance nations with a showcase
of five outstanding contemporary French works, under the banner
FranceDanse. This showcase of French contemporary dance made
up the Festival's entire 2011 international dance programme and was
presented in partnership with Culturesfrance.
We look forward to sharing the 2013 Festival programme
with you. Look out for the release of this!
